Audience numbers that promoters actually believe

Follower counts are easy to inflate and everybody knows it. Here is which numbers carry weight in a booking conversation and how to present them.

Every artist has a number they lead with. Every promoter has a number they quietly discount it to. The gap is where bookings die.

Numbers that get discounted

Raw follower counts. Total streams without a time window. Anything screenshotted rather than linked.

Numbers that get believed

  • Monthly listeners in the promoter's city, from a connected account.
  • Ticket history: room, capacity, tickets sold, date.
  • Engagement rate over the last 90 days, not lifetime.
  • Email or SMS list size with a recent send.

How to present them

Lead with the local number, because that is what fills the room. Show the trend, not the peak. And connect the source where you can. On KONNOVA, audience metrics pulled from connected accounts are labelled as such, and self-reported numbers are always labelled as self-reported. A promoter can tell the difference at a glance, which is exactly why the verified ones carry weight.
